ABOUT TIFFANY &
I'm not here to do things the way they've always been done.
I am Tiffany Bennett, an Experience Creator and Marketing Connector who uses my curiosity to question what's possible
I have worked as a marketer in small and medium-sized businesses, as well as a freelancer for over 18 years. I've been the strategist, planner & ideas person (deciding what marketing to do) and the hands-on 'doer' (building websites, designing marketing material, managing social media, creating content, writing copy, running advertising campaigns, liaising with clients / suppliers / freelancers / crafting collaborations, planning & running events, providing sales support, organising visual merchandising / signage, managing databases, creating email newsletters, managing members and setting up new software platforms).
While I've been fortunate enough to experience all areas of marketing, it became clear to me that with every task and project I've worked on as a marketer, my attention has always been on the experience I'm creating for the customer. This is what I believe is the key ingredient to building a successful business and that marketing in today's world needs to be customer-focused. So now I'm set on expanding my knowledge and experience to grow my reputation as the Experience Creator.
Away from life as a business owner and helping businesses create memorable customer experiences, I'm busy running around after my 3 sons and keeping my family healthy. I operate my business from where I live on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia. When I need a shot of inspiration or break out of the office, I'll head to the beach for a walk. I used to dream of being a professional tennis or basketball player. I later found out that I’m a better marketer, so here I am!

Q&A with TIFFANy
Why did you start JOURNI Marketing?
I've always wanted to have my own marketing business, it's just taken me a little while to figure out exactly what it looked like. I love that being a business owner gives me the opportunity to create the life I want. I get to do work that combines my strengths, personality, purpose, experience and knowledge with my love of marketing, business and human psychology AND I'm helping to guide business owners to achieving their business goals.
What marketing experience & qualifications do you have?
I have half a marketing degree! After my 1st year studying at university I decided I wanted to learn about business & marketing by doing, rather than reading textbooks. I tried external, part-time study, but I eventually accepted that university just wasn't for me.
What I do have is over 18 years experience working in different areas of marketing and still to this day I am committed to ongoing learning through workshops, online courses, books, podcasts and real life projects. I set aside hours every week to stay up to date with today's marketing because I know how quickly it changes, and that it is an industry where you can never sit back and think you know it all. There is always more to learn.
What is your long term vision for JOURNI Marketing?
To grow my reputation as the Experience Creator, a customer experience expert who gets to work 1-1 with a growing list of business owners.
I would like to write a book about how to create customer experiences that are unique to every business. It's also a goal of mine to set up a platform that connects specialist marketing freelancers with businesses who want to tap into the benefits of working with passionate, talented marketers.
Which 5 people would you invite to a dinner party?
hmmmm that's a tough one...
1) Gary Vaynerchuck: he would bring the wine + provide the lively conversation about business, sports & life.
2) Dr John Demartini: he always inspires and motivates me, plus he asks great questions + shares amazing stories.
3) Russell Brand: the funny, spiritual one who helps me to see things from a different perspective.
4) Serena Williams: I want to know what it's like to be a pro tennis player + pick her brains on fashion.
5) Brene Brown: Too many reasons, she's just awesome.
What are your top 3 books & podcasts?
'This is Marketing - Seth Godin'
'Tools of Titans - Tim Ferriss'
'Everything is F**ked - Mark Manson'
'Social Media Marketing with Michael Stelzner'
'The Joe Rogan Experience'
Which business person would you love to spend a day with?
He is my marketing guru who I can't get enough of. I love how he questions what's possible and is here to make a ruckus. He is one human I want to learn as much as possible from.
If you want to be a better marketer, I strongly recommend all of his books and workshops.
What is your favourite way to relax and destress?
Relax ... walk along the beach (I live next to the best beach in the world - well I think so anyway) listening to a podcast.
What would you like to see change in the world of marketing?
Less businesses expecting 'marketing unicorns' and more specialist freelancers creating a life around doing work they love, which also provides businesses / organisations better solutions for their marketing.
What do you enjoy learning about outside of business?
I love learning about what makes humans different so over the past few years I have learnt more about CliftonStrengths (my assessment showed my Top 5 Strengths are: Strategic / Input / Individualisation / Relator / Learner).
I also found my Birth Chart Reading with an astrologer to be scarily accurate and have been learning more about astrology (my Sun sign is Taurus / Rising sign is Taurus / Moon sign is Sagittarius).
And my most recent fascination is with Human Design & individual BodyGraphs (I am a emotional Projector - 6/2).
What is your favourite city?
New York ... there really is something special about that city. I can't wait to get back there again one day.
What was the last personal or professional development course that you did?
Seth Godin's / Akimbo - Freelancer workshop.
